Opus Dei is a personal prelature of the Catholic Church. It was founded in Spain on October 2, 1928 by St. Josemaria Escriva with a simple yet profound message that everyone is called to be holy and to serve others in and through his or her work.
“It is in the midst of the material things of the earth that we must sanctify ourselves, serving God and mankind.” (St. Josemaria, Conversations #113)
Today, Opus Dei has over 90,000 members in more than 66 countries. The spiritual formation offered at Lowana is entrusted to Opus Dei. The centre is open to university women of all creeds, races and ethnic origins.
